For the last three weeks the Lionheart has been making repairs while a Starfleet Task Force led by the USS Himori enforced an embargo on the Psellus System. The Romulan forces within aren't strong enough to break out and the Starfleet ships aren't willing to risk the massive casualties attacking.
Meanwhile, Kiva, Williams, Spencer and Arkan, along with Ambassador West, languish in prison cells, occasionally being brought out to serve as public examples of Romulan might.
Lieutenant Commander Doleo pressures Fleet Captain Eliot Fanon, the task force's commander, to give him command of the Lionheart. Instead, Fanon transfers his Second Officer, Lieutenant Commander Meagan Pare to the escort to serve as Stone's XO.
