Deep Space Five was a Starfleet deep space station located in the Typhon Sector. In 2367 it was heavily upgraded to serve as a facility to support a task force charged with slowing down any Borg vessels passing through the sector.
In2370 Fleet Admiral Robert Skinner assumed command.
