In 2335 Gedna Tachion served his cadet cruiser under Picard aboard the USS Stargazer.
In 2364, before launching the USS Enterprise-D, Picard spoke at Tachion's hearing regarding the loss of the USS Vigilant.
in 2386 he resigned his commission and became United Earth's Ambassador to the Confederacy of Vulcan.
