Kathryn Janeway was Starfleet Officer serving during the 24th century.
During her time at Starfleet Academy, she became close to groundskeeper Boothby, as well as Admirals Patterson and Paris.
A heavily modified USS Al-Batani
She first served aboard the USS Al-Batani as a junior Science Officer under Paris when he transferred his flag to the vessel to lead the year-long Arias Expedition, near the Cardassian border.
SHe would later serve in the Command Department of the USS Billings.
In 2371 she assumed command of the USS Voyager at Utopia Planitia.
Shortly thereafter she and the light cruiser were lost during a mission in The Badlands.

By 2379 she held the rank of Vice Admiral and was assigned to Starfleet Command. That year she sent the USS Enterprise-E to Romulus to meet with the new Praetor.
