The Leading Chief Petty Officer, or LCPO, is an enlisted position in a starship or starbase's division.
They are a division officer's right hand and go to person since they normally have years if not decades more experience in the tasks the division is responsible for than the officer.
This position is normally held prior to becoming a Department's Chief Petty Officer.
