Pluto

Sol IX

Pluto, or Sol IX, is a class G planet, and the ninth planet in the Sol System.

Pluto had five moons: Charon (the largest, with a diameter just over half that of Pluto), Nix, Hydra, Kerberos, and Styx.  Pluto and Charon are sometimes described as a binary system because the barycenter of their orbits do not lie within either body.

On July 15, 2014, the New Horizons probe did the first flyby of Pluto, taking detailed measurements and images of the planet and its moons.

The USS Galaxy spent a large amount of time in orbit of the planet during her space trials.

The surface boasted an advanced set of long-range sensors, a small geological research station and a Marine zero gravity training facility by 2371.

Rumors of a secret command bunker have been around since the 2140s.

Pluto Station orbited the planet.
