In 2360 enrolled in Starfleet Academy.
In 2371 she was at Starfleet Tokyo R&D and was one of three teams testing a new sensors systems designed to the detect cloaked vessels aboard the USS Lionheart. ("Blinded By Science")
Though her system did not function as intended, it was installed aboard the runabout Thames later that year. Nakamura, Juarez, Kiva and Spencer Stone the runabout to Collapsar 49 to scan the blackhole. Unfortunately the sensor's reaction with the blackhole catapaulted the runabout into the Mirror Universe. In mid-2372 she transferred to the USS Starquest as Science and Second Officer, with a promotion to Lieutenant Commander.
By late2374 she was the vessel's Executive Officer. ("Familiar Faces")
