Starfleet Academy operated a training annex on the planet Psi Upsilon III during the 24th century.
Several courses and training opportunities were available, keeping members of Starfleet from having to travel all the way to Earth as well as testing and preparing potential future officers.
On stardate 46379.1 the USS Cochrane delivered several Bajorans from Terok Nor hoping to join Starfleet at the Annex, among them Meridian Janos.
