By 2372 he was a Fleet Captain and commanded the USS Gibraltar, flagship of the Fifth Fleet.
He commanded the ship through all three Dominion assaults on the Vulcan System.
After the war he was promoted to Rear Admiral and transferred to the once again rebuilt Seventh Fleet.
