USS Aries
The USS Aries was an Apollo class light cruiser serving in Starfleet during the 24th century.
In 2365 the ship's comamnder retired. Both Gedna Tachion and William Riker turned down command of the vessel.
USS Aries as part of a tachyon detection grid during the 2368 Klingon Civil War.
In 2368 the Aries was serving in the Second Fleet and participated in Captain Jean Luc Picard's blockade of the Klingon/Romulan border that year.
The 23 ship armada deployed a tachyon detection grid in order to detect cloaked Romualn vessels suspected of supplying the House of Duras faction.
Battle Group Omega
In 2379 she was part the Omega Battle Group assembled to stop Shinzon's Warbird Scimitar in Sector 1045.
She was preceded in Starfleet by several vessels of the same name, notably a Hermes class scout.
