USS Budapest at the Battle of Sector 001
The USS Budapest was a Norway class destroyer that served in Starfleet during the 24th century.
By 2373 the vessel was part of the Third Fleet. That year it fought in the Battle of Sector 001. (TNG:"First Contact")
Prior to the battle, it was one of five testbed vessels equipped with Starfleet's new TR-116 rifles. They proved effective at repellingBorg drones.
In 2377 ablative armor was added to its hull and its forward torpedo launcher was upgraded to fire quantum torpedoes.
