USS Enterprise-B
The USS Enterprise-B was anExcelsior class starship serving in Starfleet for over three decades and the third vessel in the Federation's Starfleet to bear the name.
She was the first of a subclass of the Excelsior to be launched.
Demora Sulu became Executive Officer of the ship in 2301, and later Captain in 2311, keeping the position until 2315.
In 2307 the ship underwent a massive refit based on the equipment of the newly launched Crusader and Paladin, in order to keep par with the Romulans' new Ivarix class vessels.
In 2328 the starship aided Bajorans fleeing the Cardassian annexation of Bajor.
The vessel was lost in 2329 due to a widespread crew infection.
She was succeeded in Starfleet by an Ambassador class heavy cruiser in 2332.
