USS Kelly
The USS Kelly was anExcelsior class cruiser serving in Starfleet during the 24th century.
The vessel was heavily damaged during the Battle of Rigel and its crew were forced to abandon ship. However, eight escape pods did not release as the cruiser's power levels dwindled.
Ensign Josefina Cespedes went EVA from her SAR shuttle and released the pods manually from the exterior.
At some point prior to 2376 the Orion Syndicate raided the wreck, taking several items, including at least one isolation suit.
She was preceded in Starfleet by a Miranda class vessel launched in the 2380s.
