The USS Sunchaser was an Excelsior class starship serving during the 24th century.
In 2371 the vessel was redirected from patrol duties to aid the USS Lionheart in the Tarella System against a possible Alcoyne invasion, with Federation Envoy Thompson aboard. It would later aid the Tarellians in resettling their homeworld. ("Homecoming")
